Men Taking Over One Room In Home
By Maxine Chandler
It’s all the rage these days with families and couples shelling out the bucks for a new home. The women can decorate the rest of the however they please, but… NOT THE MAN ROOM!

Apparently with all the recent success of the world poker tour, men are beginning to single out one room in their to create their own man space. Sports memorabilia, casino game tables and bars are all becoming staples of these “manly domains”.

Now, with so many choices, and having full control over one room in the house, how can he tastefully furnish the sinful hangout of his dreams? Maybe I can help.

First, the room most likely will not be a huge amount of space, especially if the little lady has anything to say about it. This means the furniture has to be versatile and multi-purpose. It’s easy to go to some discount store and grab a poker table and some folding chairs. But that

leaves you with a single functioning table and it probably doesn’t have the classy appeal you are looking for either.

I would recommend buying a multi game table. These tables are great for that multi-functioning, space utilization you’re looking for. Often, they will convert to bumper pool tables, poker tables, and a slick dining table just by removing or flipping over the tabletop. These tables are usually made of fine hardwoods and come with comfortable rolling armchairs. Just google “multi game table” and you will see what I mean.

Next, every man room needs a bar. Without a bar set, it’s just another rec-room. With a bar, it is your retreat from the world’s daily hassles. It is your man room supreme! You may be surprised, but even bars can be multi-functioning. In fact, I just found one the other day that, with it’s top down, moonlights as a craps table, roulette wheel, and blackjack table.

It’s easy to find these versatile, multi-purpose furnishings online. Often times, you will find much better prices online than in a local store (if you can even find these in a local store). Just search the web and you may find the perfect fit for your man room.
